February 6, 2019CFRE International has launched an ambassador programme to connect current holders of the CFRE certification with those interested in speaking with someone who has been through the process.
In total the programme now has 35 ambassadors worldwide. Phillip Rothwell (pictured), director of development at Warwick Independent Schools Foundation in the UK, became CFRE certified in 2015 and was the first ambassador in Europe, joining the programme in late 2018.
Rothwell said:
“Fundraising in Europe is becoming increasingly established and professional. Fundraisers here are drawn from all walks of life and fundraising as a profession is becoming a sought-after career path.”
“It is important to support and encourage fundraisers to learn, develop, and apply new skills and knowledge to their activities. European fundraisers pursuing their CFRE will discover a wealth of knowledge and a global network of like-minded professionals from which to draw advice and support.”
Rothwell is available to speak to any fundraisers interested in learning more about how the CFRE can be of benefit via share@cfre.org.
The Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is now held by fundraising professionals in 25 countries.
