September 19, 2018Collaboration is the theme of this year’s International Fundraising Congress, which brings together fundraisers from across Europe and beyond in the Netherlands next month (16-19 October 2018).
Now in its 38th year and with over 1,000 delegates expected to attend, the Resource Alliance’s IFC 2018 aims to inspire delegates under the theme ‘Together We Can’.
Showcasing collaboration strategies and models presented by speakers and practitioners from around the globe, the event will explore and celebrate the partnership, fellowship and collaboration needed to create lasting, positive change.
Commenting on the event, Kyla Shawyer, CEO of the Resource Alliance, said:
“As we fight for social justice, for equality and for an end to atrocities of every sort, not one of us – not one fundraiser, not one organisation, not one socially conscious corporation – can stand alone. Thinking and acting in a silo is alarmingly old school in an era that demands fresh and fearless thinking. And it’s a disservice to the very causes you champion.
“Collaboration breeds inspiration. It moves the needle, it makes the difference by bringing together creative energies and creating partnerships – some obvious, others decidedly and delightfully outside the box – that shake things up and make magical and transformative things happen.”
With more than 100 sessions and a number of networking opportunities, the conference includes day-long masterclasses, keynote speaker sessions, workshops, sharing strategies and case studies from a roster of diverse speakers representing a mix of gender, geography, culture and mission. There will also be a varied social programme offering activities and events from early-morning yoga and running groups to a gala evening.
