March 31, 2020Fundraisers across the world are invited to join a virtual summit, which takes place on Thursday 02 April 2020, aiming to support the charity sector in its response to the coronavirus.
‘Project Everyone: The Global Virtual Summit Supporting Charities Through COVID-19’ has been developed by Fundraising Everywhere in partnership with Salesforce, and will be live streamed between 12pm – 6pm BST / 7am – 1pm ES. There are two virtual conference tracks on charity and fundraising response, with 12 45-minute sessions including live Q&A with the speakers. The two tracks will run consecutively on the conference website, with attendees free to interact and choose from throughout.
The conference will be hosted by Fundraising Everywhere co-founders, Nikki Bell and Simon Scriver, and confirmed speakers include Save the Children’s Rebecca Davies, Greenpeace’s Ligia Peña, fundraising strategist Sam Laprade, Tereza Litza from Lightful, and Wayne Murray from Audience.
Other charity sector bodies such as Resource Alliance, Institute of Fundraising, CharityDigital, Fundraising Verband Austria and EFA are also supporting the project by using their speaker and charity connections to provide individual content.
While attendance is free, attendees must register at fundraisingeverywhere.com/covid19, and the live stream will be subtitled in English for live viewers and available in other languages post-event. There will also be an additional resource library available to help attendees improve skills and wellbeing, with all recorded content available afterwards, plus a bonus video resource library, for as long as the pandemic impacts the sector. In addition, the virtual platform will host a chat function so attendees can get involved with their own discussions and network with each other and speakers.
Planned sessions include:
