Donations to Swiss charities rise during pandemic year but digital giving remains low
October 13, 2021Generosity on the rise in France with €8.5 billion donated in 2019
October 13, 2021120 French charities have come together this month to encourage more young people to donate. Led by France générosités, the sector is pooling its resources to inspire younger people to think about how they can change the world for the better by giving to charity.
An annual campaign, Vos Dons Agissent aims to drive up awareness about giving in France, inspiring potential supporters across the country to donate to the good causes they care about. This year’s appeal highlights the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis and social distancing restrictions on charities, emphasising the voluntary sector’s indispensable role in meeting the nation’s needs for frontline services. And it encourages people to rethink the way they see their relationship with the world around them and how their donations can influence and inspire positive change.
Vos Dons Agissent centres on the message that the public’s generosity enables nonprofit associations and foundations to achieve change and to help build a fair and equal society for tomorrow.
A modular and multi-channel campaign
To mobilise the strength of its membership, France générosités has created the campaign as a suite of modules, bridging a wide array of causes and enabling the campaign to be adapted by each charity, whatever its field.
Corentin Hue, communications manager at France générosités, says: “To make our campaign radiate, our system revolves around a media partnership, an influencer, a landing page, some testimonials of new donors mobilised during the COVID-19 crisis, and a digital campaign. This includes social media activations, traffic generation, banner and promotional videos. And to make the campaign more interactive, we’ve even worked up a ‘Back to the future’ style quiz exploring how much people know about how they can give to charity now and in the future.”
“People are encouraged to take part and discover what type of ‘donor of the future’ they are. The goal here was to capture the attention of our audiences, to engage and ignite their curiosity about giving. This campaign tool invites the public to test their knowledge, but it also showcases how innovative the sector is.”
An action anchored in time with infodon.fr
While the campaign runs from 4-24 October 2021, France générosités champions charitable giving all year long from the platform: infodon.fr. The objective is to raise awareness, inform and guide donors in their philanthropic journey, exploring the power of their giving, how they can go about it and who they can give to.
