Fundraising training in Ukraine

NGO leaders in Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine have been the first to benefit from the inaugural training provided through POINT – the  Platform for Opportunities and Ideas in Non-Profit Training.

Ten trainers organised workshops for more than 130 participants from various areas of NGO interests during autumn and winter 2015.

In Georgia, POINT partnered with CISV Georgia, in Ukraine, the Institute of Professional Fundraising, and in Moldova, the Center for Organizational Training and Consultancy (CICO). The sessions covered pertinent issues for fundraisers and communications across the three states.

Iryna Bilous from Pact Inc in Ukraine, ran a project management training session on project communications strategies for 10 representatives of Ukrainian NGOs working in the energy efficiency sector. She commented:

“In particular the participants were thankful to learn some of the typical mistakes made in communications with donors and other project stakeholders. They also appreciated the information shared about the role of the whole team in the project communication process and the tips for maintaining and archiving project records.”

POINT was first tested in 2014 and officially launched during the International Fundraising Festival in Prague in April 2015. It is supported by the Visegrad Fund.
