First International Face-to-Face Conference scheduled for Vienna

Over 25 years on from when Greenpeace famously took to the streets of Vienna to recruit supporters in the first known face-to-face drive for regular givers, an international conference will be held to explore the changing market and share best practice.

The International Face-to-Face Fundraising Congress (17-19 November 2020), is hosted by Fundraising Verband Austria and will provide a platform for learning and sharing skills around direct dialogue fundraising. Fundraisers are being encouraged to submit session proposals today to join the expert speaking panel, which includes Dr. Adrian Sargeant, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Philanthropy and Martin Gaffney, CEO of JAG GROUP.

Gosse Bosma, former President of the European Fundraising Association, says:

“Face-to-face fundraising can be a great way of initiating relationships with new supporters, but it is vital that it’s done well. At the European Fundraising Association, we are delighted to support the discussion around ethical and best practice standards at the International Face2Face Fundraising Congress.”
