May 11, 2022Members of the national fundraising associations across EFA’s network are being offered discounted tickets to attend the UK’s Fundraising Convention in London this July, with the early bird rate extended to the end of this week (13 May 2022).
After two years of disruption due to the pandemic, this is the first time in three years that the fundraising community can come together in person for the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s flagship event. Returning to the iconic Barbican Centre on 4-6 July 2022, the event offers a diverse programme of workshops and panel sessions delivered across 8 tracks, allowing delegates to choose the most relevant sessions, alongside networking activities. These tracks include supporter insight, strategy, philanthropy and partnerships, public fundraising, legacies and the future of fundraising.
At a time when career development and leadership are more important than ever, the event will offer a stream on personal development covering a range of practical sessions and tips for personal growth, including building your network, 1-2-1 career advice and guidance for LinkedIn profile building. Delegates will also be offered a free professional profile photograph.
The Chartered Institute’s director of learning and volunteering, Paul Laird says:
“Fundraisers have told us how much they’ve missed being together and value the opportunity to share, network, and learn in a face-to-face environment. So, we’re delighted to be able to host an in-person conference once more, with a virtual equivalent event coming later in the year.”
This year’s convention has been structured to give delegates options, choosing between learning tracks and a wide variety of sessions across the 3-day event. Laird adds:
“There is something for everyone, from early career fundraisers just starting out to heads of fundraising. Delegates can choose to learn about a variety of fundraising specialisms or select a single topic to focus their learning and practise.”
