October 5, 2022EFA is holding a free webinar on 25 October to provide an overview of recent updates to the European space for civil society organisations.
In particular the What’s going on in Brussels webinar will focus on the European Parliament Legal Affairs Committee proposal for “A statute for European cross-border associations and non-profit organisations”.
It follows the Commission’s announcement of its plans to create this legal framework, which is aimed at strengthening and protecting civil society organisations throughout the European Union, and the launch of a public consultation. The webinar will share an overview of the proposal, along with key insights and opportunities for European organisations.
The aim is also to encourage EFA members and our members’ members to take an active part in the consultation.
The event will be hosted by Simona Biancu, EFA Board Member and Chair of Public Affairs, Dr. Sergey Lagodinsky (MEP), The Greens, and Yvette Kleekamp, Advisor Public Affairs at Goede Doelen Nederland and EFA Delegate.
It will also include a look at the legal perspective in the Dutch context and a Q&A.
The webinar will take place on Tuesday 25 October at 10.00-11.00 CEST (09.00-10.00 BST) – this is a change from the original date of 11 October.
