The Polish Fundraising Association and Ukrainian Institute of Professional Fundraising held a joint training programme this Summer, sharing best practice and training Ukrainian nonprofits how to fundraise for challenging causes.

Titled Mission is Possible, the aim of the project was to increase the fundraising capacity of organisations working in the field of civil society activism, culture, gender and human rights.  Polish case studies and insights were presented to Ukrainian delegates who share a similar culture and historic background.

20 delegates attended the learning programme, gaining a seven day journey to the world of professional fundraising presented by Robert Kawalko, Poland, and Svitlana Kuts, Ukraine.  At the end, all participants went home with a draft fundraising project, on which the project team will provide additional coaching. A series of meetings between Polish and Ukrainian NGOs will be held to review the fundraising achievements of school participants.

This project (Orange.Revolution@ResourceMobilization.Civilsociety) is co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme 2012 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and the Support for Democracy, operated by the Polish Know How Foundation for International Development Cooperation.
