The second annual Kilometers of Good campaign has taken place with 30 Polish NGOs raising 1,122,204 zlotys this year. The coins – placed end-to-end - exceeded 25 kilometers, setting a new national record. Last year’s campaign involved just six NGOs and gathered 246,800 zlotys, which formed a 5.7 km line.
Kilometers of Good (pl “Kilometry Dobra”) is a nationwide social campaign connecting NGOs from around the country.
It is a three-month campaign with a variety of activities to raise funds, involving hundreds of schools, public fundraising events in shopping malls and city squares, and collecting donations from more than 100 companies.
During the final stage of the campaign, coins are laid out in lines in each city to provide a visual measurement of the money raised: the ‘kilometers of good’.
