EFA Certification CommitteeThe EFA Certification Committee met earlier this month at the National Fundraising Convention in London and welcomed new member, Glenys Garth-Thornton.

The committee is responsible for assessing and accrediting Certification applications and more than 4,200 fundraisers across Europe are known to have achieved an EFA Certified qualification to date.

Garth-Thornton (far right of image) is head of professional development at the Institute of Fundraising, a position she has held since 2013.

Earlier this year, the Committee announced a number of changes following its board meeting, including two new appointments: Becky Gilbert from Germany’s Deutscher Fundraising Verband rejoined the Committee for a second term to take up the position of Chair, while Andrea Caracciolo di Feroleto from ASSIF also joined the Committee.
